Facebook is often blocked in schools and collages due to the thought that social media "hinders the ability to learn". Here I will explain why that statement is untrue, but that the reverse is actuly true.
What many people do not understand about facebook is the ease of use compared to other programs to get in touch with people. I personaly use facebook primarely to get in touch with my fellow game designers. Not only is using facebook easyer than for example placing a call, it also allows you to post things on the infomous wall. Me and my friends use the wall content of facebook to create meetings, and destribute the dates and time of zed meetings.
